Children's Literature [Oct. 10th, 2011|12:10 pm]
Tony Grist
Ailz is about to start her first essay for her new course with the OU- which is why she has spent much of the morning trying to compile a list of people's birthdays: anything to avoid that first chilling confrontation with an empty screen.

It's a course on children's literature. I'm reading the texts too- so I can offer up relevant pillow-talk.

Ooh, I've looked speculatively at that course; I'll follow her progress with interest!

Ailz is way ahead of me. I've read most of the set books, but I've only just started reading the course materials.

I do have a sort of excuse because last year's Welsh course hadn't quite finished and I couldn't even think of TMAs for a new course until I'd done the end of course speaking test, but that was a week ago, so I need to buckle down and do some catching up.

She hasn't actually started the essay yet. She's still putting it off...:)

That talk is so important to successful learning, and even more so to getting that "A" paper written. I know I would not have done so well at school without those lunchroom chats with friends that sometimes went on for hours. We all helped each other to solidify ideas and remember facts. Ailz is fortunate to have you supporting her like that.

Well, I enjoy it too. I would hate to be having to write the essays, but I'm very happy to just shoot the breeze.

I love children's lit. You should keep us posted on the stoies and the assignments, just for fun.
