A Trip To Middleton

We drove over to Middleton yesterday to pick up an embroidery frame that Ailz had sourced through Freecycle. While we were there we went round the shopping centre and open air market. Middleton is the most down at heel town I know- and prices are cheap. I noticed- for the first time- a thing like a small gravestone in a flowerbed in the central square- which  turned out to be a Holocaust memorial. How many British towns- of any size or importance- have one of those?
