Bits And Bobs

The rabbits have noticed that it's spring- and were smacking the floor with their little hind feet last night. Looking at a rabbit- how small it is and what spindly limbs it has- you'd never guess it could make such a loud noise.

The workmen next door are sawing up bricks and the pall of dust over our back yard- which had been mottled by light rain- is good and thick again. We need a downpour.

Our own home improvements are in hand. The steplift at the front- which has been nothing but trouble these past few years- has been abandoned- officially- and  there will be no more attempts to patch it up. Instead the Council will improve wheelchair access at the back of the house. The rep came round yesterday to show us the plans.  What we don't know yet is whether it's our responsibility or the Council's to get rid of the carcass of the lift. Maybe that can be included in the programme of works we are hoping to fund by equity release.
