Chastened And Wiser

Yesterday we signed a contract for a very expensive piece of kit and today we're cancelling it.

And the moral of the story is, "Don't invite a salesman into your house unless you're absolutely sure- in advance- that you want what he's selling, because (a) salesmen are the very devil and (b) you are weaker than you think."

I watched Scarface last night- well, three quarters of it- the second movie of that name, starring Al Pacino. It hasn't aged well.

And the moral of this second story is "Not every movie that gets tagged as a classic is actually any good."
