Zoning Out

I was sitting in front of the TV, watching the Talking Pictures channel- not paying it much attention but taking the weight off my legs before moving on to something else- and Flanagan and Allen were gearing up to perform their closing number when suddenly the screen was in colour and the opening credits were rolling on a 1970s movie from the Children's Film Foundation- and I'd lost five to ten minutes of my not very valuable time.

Sometimes I set out to have an afternoon nap and sometimes unconsciousness creeps up and pounces but either way I have to be very alert and busy these days to miss out on having one....
