Bella

Storm Bella passed through last night. I lay awake listening to the wind and trying- unsuccessfully- to work out how you could rejig the screenplay of Ben Hur so the chariot race comes at the end.

This morning, once the rain stopped, I did a tour of the property. One of the bird baths had been blown across the lawn and the framework supporting the grape vine has partially collapsed. There are streams where there weren't any streams yesterday. No trees have fallen. I waded across the fields and counted the quadrupeds- one, two, three, four: all present and correct.
