A Tactical Mistake

It is probably a mistake- tactically speaking- to deface statues of Winston Churchill. It gives the media the excuse (not that they need one) for talking about the awfulness of protesters instead of the awfulness of mass extinctions.

On the other hand the message "Churchill is a racist" is (apart from the tense) entirely true- and the presence of that lumbering, bull-necked image in Parliament Square is a clear act of provocation towards all right-thinking people.

How long before Churchill joins Lenin and Stalin and Edward Thingy the Bristol slaver and all those Confederate generals in the great theme park of the now-found-out-and-no-longer-loved?

I give him a decade. Possibly two....
