She's Coming Home

They're letting her go, but probably not until this afternoon- after the doctor has seen her and they've dispensed her drugs.  Also, they don't like to send anyone out into the world without feeding them first.

It turns out she has a kidney infection. I wonder how that came about. It's not a diagnosis that had even crossed my mind.

Yesterday was beautiful- weatherwise, I mean. I walked to the hospital in the afternoon.  It took me about 40 minutes door to door, but if I'd  put on my racing shoes I could probably have done it in 30. There were spring flowers- mainly daffodils- on the verges all the way down- and I kept walking through these banks of scent.
