Dream Transaction

The man said I could have the knives for £80. They were dinner knives that had belonged to Napoleon and to prove it they had NAPOLEON inscribed on their bone handles. I said "Let me think about it" and he went away to his office while I wondered about provenance and looked to see how much I had in my wallet. When he came back I said he had a deal and he said he'd already sold one of the knives and I could have the remaining one for £250. I said to forget about it.
