|Done For The Time Being

My rearrangement of "the library" hasn't been as thoroughgoing as I'd have liked but at least all the Chestertons are together and all the de la Mares and all the Kiplings. Also I found the Collected Poems of Sidney Keyes- the absence of which got me going in the first place. It will continue to be a work in progress, because- unless its one of those petrified collections you find in National Trust houses- a library is a living thing.|
A library is indeed a living thing but there is some satisfaction to a bit of order...while it lasts.
It's nice to know where books are or- at least- which general area they're likely to be in.
i look forward to getting in my new place - whenever that is - and getting new bookcases - and putting my much smaller library in order.
We could do with new bookcases. We had fitted shelves in the old house and here we don't.
A personal library of books maketh the man or woman i believe.
from little stacks
a great library grows
its a goal- one book at a time ;)
think writing is like dreaming awake
its recording a dream as it happens
many of those books are dreams.
dreams are slippery
they don't seem to want to be ordered
books don't mind piling or stacking
but when they start to dream
a whole room can explode
