Out With The Old, In With The New

The lady at the charity shop asked if I was moving house and I said,  no, we put two households together five years ago and have been off-loading the surplus ever since.

Actually, it's not quite as simple as that.  The more complex truth is we're always buying things- including from charity shops- and the new is constantly pushing out the old. I gave away three framed pictures yesterday but only because I'd bought a couple of 18th century topographical prints the week before.

One of the "new" prints is from an original by Paul Sandby. How could I not buy a Sandby?
