Mermaid [Oct. 17th, 2018|06:54 pm]
Tony Grist
A very small plastic mermaid- about the size of a nut- has appeared on the table beside my plate. It think she's meant to be Disney's Ariel but can't be sure because she's missing her head- which, from the condition of the neck- appears to have been chewed off. I have no idea where she came from. I'd blame one of the granddaughters only none of them has been on the premises for months.

Might the cat have left it there?

But where did the cat find it?

Ahhh...who knows where cats dig up what they dig up. Perhaps one of the grandchildren left it behind at some point and it fell in the garden. I had a cat once that used to retrieve things and leave them for me.

how odd
a gift from mom?

I've seen people doing
sculptures pairing bits from one figure to another
maybe a head will show up for on top?
