And That's The End Of That [Oct. 3rd, 2018|08:03 pm]
Tony Grist
The hospital discharged my mother this evening- and my sister and brother-in-law brought her home. She has anti-biotics in her system and is back to where she was before the episode. The notes that came home with her attribute the black-out to a combination of dehydration and sepsis. We now need to get her booked in to see a dentist...

I'm glad she is doing okay.

Good news, then. You'll have to watch that she drinks more fluids if dehydration was a factor.

You give her a cup of tea, she takes a sip and then forgets it's there- and you have to keep prompting her to drink.

I'm glad to hear your mum was able to come home so quickly - after spending so much time visiting hospitals last year, I came to the conclusion that hospitals are no place for the elderly.

I hope all goes well with the dentist.

I'm not greatly fond of hospitals. Where's the colour? Where's the fresh air?

Re: its good she's home

What a clever idea. I get the impression they're still at the trial stage- and may not yet be available to buy.
