Getting My Oats [Jun. 5th, 2018|09:10 am]
Tony Grist
Wendy said she'd tried most of the non-dairy substitutes for milk and the only one she liked was Oatly Barista- which is made from oats.

We bought a carton. And I find I like it too. It makes a cup of tea taste like porridge.

When I did experimenting with these milk substitute drinks, I kept stuck with oat too. Really tastes like liquid muesli but that's not bad.
Think, with drinking it over and over again I noticed it even feeds a little - not as much as milk does, but definitely more than a drink made of rice or so.
And, if you suffer from a disease with inflammations, it doesn't raise the tiredness/fatigue rate. Even though oats is from the same plant family like wheat which does so (strange as that is)...

Nothing wrong with liquid muesli- in fact it's rather tasty.

I hadn't heard of that - will have to check to see if they sell oat milk here. Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm sold on it. I've given up putting cow's milk in my tea.
