Boxes [May. 16th, 2018|09:47 am]

Boxes.

So many boxes.

That's one of the drawbacks of buying from Amazon and other online retailers.

I suppose high street retail involves boxes too but surely not so many.

I recycle as many as I can. I reuse those I can (and always try to keep a stock of smaller ones in the garage for putting birthday and Christmas presents in) but I'm afraid an awful lot of them end up on the bonfire. I just did a big burn. It's such a waste.

I just received a box from amazon today and was thinking something very similar. We recycle but I often wonder how much of the recycled material is reused.

Who knows?

It's a common complaint that Amazon sends tiny objects in enormous boxes- with loads of packing. I wish they wouldn't.

We can just put cardboard out with the weekly recycling collection. I like to keep a few boxes in case I need to post anything, but the rest are recycled.
