Odd, Isn't It? [Apr. 19th, 2018|08:27 am]
Tony Grist
A few years back Theresa May caused a stir at the Tory Party Conference by telling colleagues it was time they did something to change the perception that they were "the nasty party".

This was the same Theresa May who went on to create the  "hostile" regime at the Home Office which resulted in members of the Windrush generation- who had been in Britain legally for half a century- being harassed, stripped of their rights, threated with deportation and banged up in detention centres.

No, it doesn't quite make sense.

A woman who is very steely and has many contradictions. I have scant respect for her.
I don't trust her judgement on Brexit, on bombing Syria on the Windrush generation's horrific situation.

I suspect the steeliness is how she compensates for a lack of confidence. I find it hard to believe she enjoys her job.

I suppose it depends on how she defines "nasty".

I think she works on the principle "I am a good person, and therefore nothing I do can be nasty."

Probably. It's those people over there who are nasty...
