Round And Round And Round [Dec. 14th, 2017|10:13 am]
Tony Grist
I've had a heavy cold for several days. This morning I turned over in bed and the world went round and round just as if I'd pulled the lever on a one-armed bandit. Ailz thinks it may have been my ears- which have been affected by the cold- readjusting themselves.
It was a novel experience- and I'm glad I was lying down at the time.

Oh, crap...
Best thing then is lying down and sleeping and telling oneself "it's only an error in the physical perception, the world doesn't really spin around you".
Depending on if it makes you sick like feeling you need to puke, better don't even open up your eyes and place yourself in a position in the bed where the feeling doesn't get as strong.

I found I didn't notice the spinning if I shut my eyes. I felt a little sick- and was afraid it might recur when I got up- but it didn't.

Is the sense of balance alright when walking?
On my end, everything spinning is often linked with a damaged sense of balance. I notice that in the movement because - how can I say? -, my shell acts pretty clumsy then.
Walking and doing things then - even the necessary ones - requires a little bit of more attention than usually, and also clutching to furniture.

Yes, thanks. I've been doing OK. The spinning sensation hasn't come back.

When it hits, I guess one can't do more than just doing a home day and dropping the duties, as far as one can... At least haven't experienced anything that helps it better.
Strangely, even while the sense of balance has gotten a kick on it, the hearing sense itself doesn't feel funny in that situation, or like doing something it shouldn't do.
