Now It Really Is Winter

There was frost on the ground this morning and the water in the birdbath was frozen but not the much larger volume of water in the butt the horses drink from (I learned some basic science there.) And now it's the middle of the day and although the cloud cover is light and almost letting the sun through- it's begun to snow- not heavily, just a few flakes jigging.
