I wrote three postcards last night and left them on top of the sideboard. Ailz confirms that they were still there when she got up this morning. An hour or two later I went to pick them up to put them out for the postman and they were gone. We searched- and found them inside the top drawer of the sideboard- which is where we keep the cutlery. The drawer was closed and there was no way they could have slipped in by accident. They were positioned more or less directly below their original position- as if they'd somehow passed through a quarter inch of solid Victorian oak board. Ailz says she hadn't touched them- or the drawer- and there was no reason why she should have done.
