Now that we've exchanged my mother's perm for a stylish haircut her visits to the hairdresser take 15 minutes instead of three quarters of an hour. While she was being seen to I rushed a couple of bags of miscellaneous stuff to one of the charity shops. The assistant was saying they've been inundated with donations since Christmas.
Yesterday the crescent Moon rose on a trajectory that took it between Mars and Venus- and it was a sight to see. This evening the Moon's a little fatter and rising to the south of both and it's less of a spectacle but still striking.
