There's a firm of architects in Tunbridge Wells called Madgwick and Dottridge.

Which goes to show that Dickens didn't merely invent names, he collected them.

Much like Douglas Adams. I think Hotblack Desiato, the estate agents, had to change their name in the end.

Certainly is and it's known that he did.

The graves of Pip's parents and siblings are in Cooling churchyard.
