Modern statue of St Michael. Looks a bit Deco to me...

He does look a bit Deco. I like Deco and like the statue, but not sure how well it fits this particular site.

Love the Green Man. What period is he?

It's a small, unassuming statue, it provides the church porch with a focal point- I think it earns its place.

On the whole I like 20th century church art.

I'd guess the green man was 14th or 15th century

Small works better, I suspect. The style only becomes obvious on close inspection.
