17th Century Angel [Feb. 2nd, 2015|09:19 am]

I collect angels. Here's one from a late 17th century monument in St Giles, Maisemore- just outside Gloucester.

I had to move a candlestick to get a good look at him/her. Churches can be very neglectful of their treasures.

If you're an angel freak, you really must visit some time!

St Johns, Pinchbeck, for example

Ooh, shiny!

It's my ambition to visit every part of the UK- and Lincolnshire has to be high on my list of those I've not got round to yet.

She's a lovely one! Where was the carving located? On an altar, a tomb or...?
