Re: Assistant Commander Peter Winship and Stephen Lawrence.
(returns the salute)
Seems like someone should say it.
Treasonous to whom?
They'll probably be keeping the monarchy.
I thought the vote was Thursday?
Thought I'd voice my support in advance.
Living in Colorado I don't have a firm opinion on the choice, but having a wee bit of Scottish blood in me I'm certainly interested in the outcome.
It's the beginning of a new phase in British politics. The three main parties have been marginalised and made to look ridiculous. Things are going to change no matter which way the vote goes.
as someone with a teensy bit of Scot in me, I'm all for it.
I've no Scottish blood (that I know of) but freedom for Scotland (I believe) furthers the cause of freedom for us all.
Freedom from what?
An of course it doesn't. Scotland wants independence because it already has the tools in place.

Freedom from Westminster.
But, as it turns out, it didn't want it after all.
Maybe because they didn't want economic ruin. You spend a lot of time proposing freedom. Perhaps you'd like to come up with a viable alternative.
There are those who say an independent Scotland would have been very well off.
Never mind, the issue is off the agenda now for a generation at least.
Yes. They're called Alex Salmond.
I could point out that the amount of money the Scots get from the British Parliament does go a long way.
I'm with you!
I'm not personally involved, of course, but my ancestors got kicked out of Scotland some years ago over this very issue. :-)
I'm disappointed by the result, but it doesn't end here. The government has promised increased devolution not only for Scotland but for Wales, Northern Ireland and the English regions. Things are changing....
