Events Of The Day [Sep. 23rd, 2013|08:29 pm]
Tony Grist
This morning I picked up two shiny little conkers in the rabbit run.

The forecast keeps saying "cloudy" and mostly it's right but today it wasn't. The sun came out around lunchtime and stayed out all afternoon.

Lee arrived shortly after lunch with flowers from yesterday's Harvest Festival for my mother.

There was about a quarter of an apple pie left from lunch but it's all gone now. They call it comfort eating.

It was a frustrating forecast! Previously, it'd been promising a bright evening here, but checking the satellite imagery showed this swathe of cloud, only gradually edging up toward the northwest. First Brighton, eventually London, and.. then the progression sort of ran out of steam. =:P

Damn, but if being a wildlife photographer doesn't seem to be 25% amateur meteorologist. =:/ I made the right call, at least, opting instead to head into my usual supermarket to reload on vegetables and some lean sausages - and in the process, uncovered a quiet enclave of local ales. Which led to quite a happy evening. ^_^

Tuesday threatens to be quite a bright day - if so, I'll be up and about to see what the buns are up to, once I've seen to the day's work on the API. Few days hold spectacular photos, but, the more I'm up there, the more chances I give myself. And even when they're not really up to very much, they can hardly help being adorable. =:)

Tuesday morning has begun with mist- which seems to be clearing. I think it's going to be another scorcher (cross fingers).
