A.N. Wilson (in the Mail, where else?) blames the Philpotts on The Welfare State. Apparently no-one lived fecklessly or killed their children before that well-meaning but naive Lord Beveridge loused things up....|
I hate the Mail, a fickle paper of disrepute
But if we didn't read it how would me know what the bastards were thinking?
I saw that too.
Why does anyone read the daily freakin' malice?
It has some good picture galleries.
And- call me any names you like- I have a certain regard for Peter Hitchens.
Why doesn't he go and write for somewhere that isn't hatemonger in ordinary to the masses?
Perhaps no-one else will have him.
He's a maverick- he doesn't really fit in anywhere. He's deeply conservative on some issues, very liberal on others.
A libertarian by the sound of it.
In truth I haven't purchased a newspaper since the Guardian betrayed and outed a trans friend of mine courtesy of that nasty little git David Batty some years back.
Sound at all familiar?
I don't think he'd accept that label- or any other, really. That's what I like about him- he's a truly independent thinker.
I don't pay for papers either; I read them on line (because I'm a cheapskate).
I don't remember that case. And I had to google David Batty to find out who he is. I guess you mean the journo not the footballer.
The very one.
Nasty piece of work!
Apparently the Sun "hope this is the last time the State unwittingly subsidises the manslaughter of children".
Bloody hell, that out-Mails the Mail.
On a scale of scumminess the Sun beats the Mail, Please do not mention the Star either otherwise i will explode in expletives!
I never see the Star. I sometimes get to see the Sun in our local chippy.
