Wimbledon At The Half Way Mark

We were saying the top three in men's tennis existed at a level no-one else could approach and then Nadal was put out of Wimbledon by a guy we'd never heard of and Federer was taken to the wire by Benneteau. 

I missed Nadal/Rosol because the BBC thought we'd be more interested in watching a match involving a British no-hoper. Federer/Benneteau was thrilling. 

You raise the bar and people will rise to it. That's how it goes.
