Not Rocket Science [Oct. 1st, 2017|01:31 pm]
Tony Grist
And, while I'm busy setting the world to rights, let me just say that if I were President of the USA I'd be flying out to Pyong-Yang, putting my arm around little Kim and giving him the keys to Disneyland. Meanwhile I'd have instructed my officials to be offering his officials all the trade deals they can cope with.

If you want someone to rejoin the wider human family you could do worse than start the ball rolling by treating them nice.

It's not rocket science. Rather it's the alternative.

We learned this morning that in spite of Trump the US government is talking to the North Koreans. I wonder whether the president is even in the loop.

In general, it's not hard to look through that strategy of the US that they try for another regime change to send troops and produce and sell guns to economically save their broke asses. By the way, they're also desperately morally in need of a victory 'cause all of the recent past regime changes turned into disasters and are more or less ticking turmoils which can flare up anytime again and turn against them. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine... All just "quests" which, sooner or later, need to receive the official attribute of "failed mission", just like they once received in Vietnam, 'cause factually they are in the highest degree.
But needing to admit that officially someday, this is a losing of one's face par excellence. Who's gonna take that nation serious as a worldwide police officer after they'd need to do that? They gonna be forgotten and ignored like some poor third world country now...
So, in order to avoid that, they need anything to brighten up the balance.
And in that, they go through all old conflicts that they have seemingly.

Someday the penny's going to drop and they'll realise that you can't solve the world's problems with tanks and bombs.

If making money is all you want, then it is an option to solve world conflicts...
Only it'll become a question: How long you have the resources and the know-how on your side to produce all this crap? Millions can pay bombs, but they don't build them.
Also, in every business, you still need some protective shield around you that makes it possible to do your business totally undisturbed. What if that is gone?
This task is mostly done by a state and its politicians, but a broke and ruinous state can't pay these to do that. These rich people from these days make no exception to officially voice how much they think it's a crime that they need to pay taxes to their home state 'cause they think it spends the money on all kinds of things that don't benefit them. That's a kind of fatal error in thinking... No money to the state, no state to exist to protect their interests against outside intruders or threats. Easy as it is.
You needa use a buck in order to earn two bucks back... No service without proper payment.
This may destroy those oligarchs this time (again?) who want to make their money through war... 'Cause they behave like spoiled brats who don't want to share anything.
