For the last two or three years we've employed a carer who came in every morning for an hour- six days a week- to get my mother washed and dressed- and stayed all day if we wanted her to. Quite often she cooked my mother's lunch. The carer- who had been a nurse and then an agency worker- spoke of this arrangement as her "dream job". Her day off was covered by an agency.|
